About
Vascular surgery Speciality Trainees (STs) are appointed via a competitive process into ST3.
Training years are from ST3-ST8 (6 years).
An Annual Review of Competence Progression (ARCP) will need to be met ito progress through training.
Training ultimately leads to the award of Certificate of Completion of Training.

Joint Committee on Surgical Training
The Joint Committee on Surgical Training (JCST) is an advisory body to the four surgical Royal Colleges of the UK and Ireland for all matters related to surgical training and works closely with the Surgical Specialty Associations in the UK and Ireland.
The JCST is the parent body for

- Core Surgical Training Advisory Committee (CSTAC)
- Training Interface Groups (TIGs)
- Intercollegiate Surgical Curriculum Programme (ISCP)
