VS/BSIR/VASGBI Joint Statement on Draft NICE AAA guidance

Please find below a joint statement from the Councils of the Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland, The British Society of Interventional Radiology and the Vascular Anaesthetic Society of Great Britain and Ireland, relating to the draft NICE guidelines for the management of patients with aortic aneurysms. This is an addition to the formal responses which were sent to NICE by the Societies as stakeholders. 

The elected VSGBI Council has unanimously agreed the wording of the statement. Approval was given to circulate the statement, from the members of the Society, during the recent AGM.  

Should the final guidelines differ substantially to the draft document, a further statement will follow in due course.
