The Royal College of Surgeons of England is excited to announce the full speaker line-up for our online mid-career conference on 3 June, tailored for SAS and consultant surgeons with 5–10 years of experience. This is your chance to hear directly from surgical leaders who’ve successfully navigated the mid-career phase. Learn how to get involved with the College, expand into leadership and more.

We are delighted to be joined by.

  • Arin Saha, an RCS England faculty member and regional director, will discuss what 'mid-career' means.
  • Quickfire talks from Regional Specialty Advisor, Mohiemen Anwar, Regional Director Tawakir Kamani; Examiner, Shirley Chan and Council member, Dorothy Kufeji explore leadership roles and the importance of involvement.
  • Council member Ginny Bowbrick will discuss job planning.
  • Evelyn Ong, Clinical Director at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust, and Sharen Knight, CBT psychotherapist, on building resilience.
  • Council member Ian Kamaly-Asl will guide us through being the safe space. And 
  • NHS National Medical Director for Secondary Care Stella Vig will be joining us to talk about Leadership in the NHS.
