14 CPD points - Book now for Early-bird reductions.
An intensive 2-day Vascular Ultrasound course on the application of duplex, pulsed wave, colour and power Doppler techniques in the investigation of the abdominal, extra and intra-cranial and peripheral vasculature.
Structure:
Theory lectures are supported by practical hands-on workshop facilitated by our top faculty. Models and a range of ultrasound systems are provided, with the opportunity to use a limb phantom for training in ultrasound monitoring of Endovenous laser ablation procedures.
Topics include:
Haemodynamics and Doppler Ultrasound, Lower limb arteries, Investigation carotid and vertebral arteries, Superficial venous system, Intracranial vasculature, Lower Limb Deep venous system, Upper limb vasculature, Ultrasound imaging in surgery, Aorta and branches, Stent and graft surveillance, Ultrasound monitoring of haemodialysis, Artefacts and errors.
Clinical lectures include:
• Normal vasculature and variants
• Examination protocols
• Diagnostic criteria
• Case histories
• Pitfalls in interpretation
• EVLA ultrasound guided simulation with phantom
