Research Committee
The Research Committee will advise Council on issues, developments and membership surveys relating to vascular research. It will provide research strategy direction to the Council, and, by adopting a 'horizon scanning' approach, ensure the Society keeps pace with progress in vascular research. The Committee will identify research initiatives and advise Council on ways to implement these. It will work closely with the Circulation Foundation in matters relating to grants currently awarded by the Society, and the funding of new grants initiated and implemented by the committee.
Annual Scientific Meeting Committee
The ASM committee was introduced in 2014/15 to work with the current President and the conference organiser to plan all aspects of the annual meeting. The committee will provide more continuity and forward planning over a number of years, with a more structured format to meetings, incorporating feedback from previous meetings. The meeting will remain a scientific meeting with current best practice and training as core elements. The committee will also improve interaction with industry and sponsors who enable the meeting to flourish.
