The emphasis will be on 'hands on' workshops, which will enable delegates to use the latest ultrasound imaging equipment to practice the investigation protocols.\n\nTopics include:\n• basic principles of imaging;\n• haemodynamics and Doppler techniques;\n• investigating protocols and diagnostic criteria for carotid and vertebral arteries\n• atherosclerotic plaque composition and dynamics\n• investigation of the intracranial arteries using duplex and transcranial Doppler (TCD)\n• post endarterectomy imaging;\n• B-scan and Doppler artefacts and errors.\n\nStructure:\nTheory lectures are supported by practical hands-on workshop facilitated by our top faculty.
